How to Use Your IRIScan Book 7

Step 1

  • Charge the IRIScan Book 7 for 30 minutes.
  • Connect the USB-C end of the cable to the scanner.
  • Connect the other end of the cable to the computer.
    • When charging is complete, the light comes in green.

  • Insert MicroSD card.
  • Insert the card into the external memory slot on the device.
  • Push the card in until you hear a click.

  • Start the device.
  • Press and hold the power button for more than 3 seconds.

  • Scan ! Make sure that the scanner is not connected to the computer before scanning.
  • Press the Scan button once to start scanning.Slide the scanner smoothly from the start line to the end line.
  • Press the Scan button again to stop scanning.
Step 5: Transfer the scanned files to your computer

You can transfer scanned files from the scanner to the computer in two ways:

Option 1: Use the MicroSD card
On the scanner:
  • Remove the MicroSD card from the scanner.
On the computer:
  • Put the MicroSD card into the card slot on the computer.
  • Open the file folder for the MicroSD card.
  • Copy or move the scanned files to a folder on the computer.
Option 2: Use the USB cable
On the scanner:
  • Connect the USB-C end of the cable to the scanner.
  • Make sure that the scanner is set to ON.
On the computer:
  • Connect the other end of the cable to the computer.
  • The computer shows a message: "New hardware detected".
  • Open the file folder for the scanner.
  • Copy or move the scanned files to a folder on the computer.
