Iit allows you to scan large volumes of documents with superb quality and in an enormous amount of time, the application is very well done and using the scanner is simple with two very practical accessories included, either a foot pedal or a button. The whole is quality, the Canon brand is behind the manufacture of this product, it feels.

The product was very quick to install and use. Getting started was very intuitive and took just a few minutes. Once the software was installed on my Windows PC, it only took me a few minutes to understand how the scanner worked. The quality of the scans is excellent. The functions for cropping documents and erasing thumbprints when holding the document by the side (for a book, for example) are very effective. The character recognition function is also very effective. You can scan a text and recover it in Word format for editing.

This model comes in the form of a vertical desk arm (36cm), at the top of which is a fixed camera (4K, 600dpi) that points downwards. There's also a built-in LED light. This scanner works in conjunction with 2 software packages offered by the manufacturer. One for capture, the other for retouching. This professional-level software is fairly sophisticated. You need time to get to grips with how to use them!

Does the job perfectly, used by a niece in primary school. The scanner is very powerful, and the headset helps her stay focused. Now that the school year is over, she uses it for reading and is able to read for longer periods.

The device is made of aluminium and has an integrated LED light that can be adjusted to three levels. There's also a much larger mouse pad. The software you need to use can be downloaded from the brand's website, and is called IRIScan Desk Pro Duo. There are a number of settings, sheet by sheet, open book format, cropping, edge correction, and so on. As with any software, it takes a little time to get the hang of it. You can choose the output format: JPG, PNG, TIF, PDF, Word, Text, etc.

This is a professional product. I tested it on archives. It's very practical and fast thanks to the included ocr. However, I can confirm that for some books, a flatbed scanner is simpler, but the speed here is top notch.
