iHQC™ provides a much higher compression rate than the best available TIFF G4 compression for black and white images. iHQC™ however obtains these high compression results for color images and without conceding to quality!

The OCR accuracy for low resolution color or greyscale images has been dramatically improved. This is also valid for PDF with iHQC compression.

The OCR accuracy for Arabic has been strongly improved, with a new recognition method based on the font description.

On top of the already extensive list of output formats, iDRS™ 12.5 offers the possibility to generate XPS files, XPS files with revolutionary iHQC compression, and PDF/A with iHQC compression.

iDRS™ is divided into several modules, all independent from each other and grouped into 4 categories (Imaging, Preprocessing, Recognition and Formatting), and is adaptable to your project requirements - you select only the technology you need for your application.

iDRS™ is extremely fast. It is the fastest recognition technology available on the market. I.R.I.S. not only focuses on accuracy during the development of the technologies but also always spends time to “fine-tune” the algorithms for very fast processing.!

You can easily set up a check reading solution, or any other application that needs to use such very accurate technology, thanks to the recognition of the most used banking fonts such as OCR-A, OCR-B, E13B and CMC7.

I.R.I.S. has developed its own barcode recognition technology with always the same focus on accuracy and speed. All the most common 1-D and 2-D barcodes are supported: Barcode 1D : the barcode module will identify any barcode located anywhere on a page. 24 different 1-dimensional barcodes are supported covering the most popular ones as code 39, EAN, Code 128, etc. Barcode 2D : the IRIS barcode engine also supports the recognition of PDF 417 and QR barcodes.

Thanks to some preprocessing modules iDRS™ offers some advanced image processing such as text deskewing, detection of the page orientation, black border removal, line removal, despeckling, etc.
