Server

I.R.I.S. Archea Server is available under Windows NT server or AIX. It comprises 2 main modules:
- A software module for piloting and managing storage units.
- A software module for managing the databases necessary for document indexing.

Modules

• ADK (ARCHEA Development Kit)
  (Low level APl)
  The ADK module is composed of DLLs comprising more than 400 features. The interaction on all structures and features available in I.R.I.S. Archea, on the part of the server as well as on the part of the client, make it possible to develop a global EDM solution perfectly adapted to very specific needs.
• AWF (ARCHEA Workflow) :
  With the AWF module, you can automate the tasks and procedures linked to one or several documents. You can have a good control of the workflows, tasks, users, and associated documents. The workflow is customized according to the project needs. It works as a Client-Server application and as an intranet-internet. It can be integrated with the most standard messaging systems such as Lotus Notes, MS Exchange etc.
• PSDF (Print Spool Document Filing) :
  PSDF is an optional module of the COLD type. The SPOOL files generated by the central system are:
  
  - transferred to the platform controlling the documents,
  - indexed according to index keys,
  - archived (encryption and compression facilities are available).
  
  Scanned background pages can be used. This facility is an alternative solution for « COM » type applications using microfiches.
• OCR/ICR :
  OCR features can be added using standard recognition software packages.
• AUTODEC :
  With the AUTODEC module, you can:
  
  - identify the document types (form, letter, check, RIB etc.),
  - manage front and rear documents (rotation, merge),
  - delete images according to customized criteria (e.g.: size),
  - detect bad quality images,
  - build up complete files.

Client

• ARCHEA CLIENT
  The client application is a tailor-made application for Windows 95 or NT workstation environments. Its components are used to manage the user interface features as well as the linked configuration settings. They are also used to pilot the acquisition of the documents via scanning or import of already existing office or IT documents in the form of digital data.
• ARCHEA WEB
  The Web application is used to access all I.R.I.S. Archea services via Internet or Intranet using a standard browser (MS Explorer, Netscape, etc.).
• ARCHEA CONSOLE
  ARCHEA Console is the standard administration module of the system. It is used to manage the server settings as well as to perform searches on the document database.
