    IRISPdf 5.0 offers the professional solutions necessary for efficiently managing business and professional services by transforming vast amounts of images into editable and/or searchable electronic documents. IRISPdf 5.0 is an advanced OCR production tool that enables the conversion of scanned documents into electronic data and supplies document management systems with appropriate file formats.



    Several versions of IRISPdf


    All indexing and batch/document separation features of KODAK Capture Software can be used. IRISPdf will add useful image enhancement and compression capabilities, the generation of XML indexes, the creation of very small size PDF files containing the full-text index, etc. but also generate full-text XML output with IRISPdf as well as RTF and TXT. Multiple output formats can be enabled simultaneously!

    This version is a decentralized OCR server for a scanning environment using KODAK Capture Software. Each scanstation defines the settings of IRISPdf in its batch output format. The scanned images along with the settings file are then sent to the station where IRISPdf Server for KCS is installed. The OCR process is no longer done on the scanstation which can keep going on with the scanning.

    IRISPdf Server includes powerful tools for batch processing and an advanced watched folder mechanism allowing easy integration with other imaging applications. IRISPdf Server supports document separation and indexing capabilities based, for instance, on barcodes. IRISPdf Server features useful image enhancement and compression modules, generates structured XML indexes and very small size PDF files containing the full-text index.

    Thanks to this new version it is now possible to define a workflow in Kofax Ascent Capture that will call IRISPdf to transform images into fully-serchable and/or editable files such as PDF files.

    Thanks to its easy to use API, integrating IRISPdf Server within your own application, such as Scanning software or Document Management software, is simple, fast and highly efficient. Different ways of integration are possible: calling an .exe at the command line, integrate the .Net component or integrating the .dll.


    New Features

    Optimized table recognition and output
    SpreadsheetML is a new output format. It allows you to save each table contained in your document in a separate worksheet in order to facilitate editing.

    Signed PDF as output
    You can sign PDF file created by IRISPdf in order to assure the integrity of the document during is whole lifecycle.

    Speed-Accuracy mode
    This new option allows you to concentrate on speed or on the accuracy of the recognition. In accuracy mode, specific algorithms will be applied for correcting doubtful words and characters.

    Arabic and Farsi recognition
    Amongst other popular languages, this new version of IRISPdf also supports Arabic and Farsi, languages spoken by more than 280 million people.
