I.R.I.S. DocCenter is an open application based on standard components. It can be easily integrated within a wider IT solution offering document dematerialization facilities (High-speed scanning, Readiris Pro Corporate Edition, IRISPdf, Formiris Pro, I.R.I.S. ScanNews, etc.), information share (I.R.I.S. DocShare), workflow, archiving, storage and consolidation systems (Storage and Archiving).

I.R.I.S. DocCenter offers a large range of advanced tools and technologies that can easily be used at different stages in the Electronic Document Management system. These make it possible to automate and facilitate all processes linked to data acquisition, indexing, search, and retrieval in the system. Among these tools are:
- Readiris Pro: I.R.I.S. application able to convert the scanned documents or part of them into editable text. The converted text can further be used for performing full text searches in the system.
- OCR “on the fly”: OCR technique allowing to acquire parts of the scanned documents into the linked index cards by simple drag-and-drops. By using this technique, data capture becomes extremely fast and easy.
- OCR automation: advanced technique also based on the OCR technology for automatically filling in various fields of the index card whenever identical identifiers can be used.
Integrated search module
I.R.I.S. DocCenter is configured with an integrated search module: search criteria can be introduced using the fields of the index card. The operator may use one or several search criteria. The results are listed in a customizable table displaying the records’ titles corresponding to the criteria. With a simple mouse click, you get access to the records’ documents.
Consultation via the Internet
Thanks to Searchiris Web, remote searches can be carried on the document database via a simple Internet connection. The operator can introduce his search criteria and retrieve, view, print etc. the required documents. Various access levels are provided.
Audit Trail
I.R.I.S. DocCenter is provided with an Audit Trail, a module specifically dedicated to tracking the operations carried out in the system. With the Audit Trail, the administrator is able to view all the operations performed by the various operators on the different databases, using the Acquiris module. The operations can be easily tracked: the creation, the modification and the deletion of an index card, the queries carried out in the database, the login and logout operations in Adminiris, and the opening of an index card.
