During the IRISLink 2009, Microsoft and I.R.I.S. jointly revealed and demonstrated the next generation of a unique document capture solution. This I.R.I.S. – Microsoft alliance enables the user to scan and index documents while automatically identifying document types. Those images are then converted into hyper‐compressed, fully searchable PDF, PDF‐A and XPS files. Finally, those files are exported with their indexes into Microsoft SharePoint libraries, created automatically according to the various document types.
