What is the IRISPdf line?
IRISPdf offers the professional solutions necessary for efficiently managing business and professional services by transforming vast amounts of images into editable and/or searchable electronic documents. IRISPdf 6.0 is an advanced OCR production tool that enables the compression and the conversion of scanned documents into electronic data and supplies any document management systems with the appropriate file formats.

With this new add-on module, multiple tasks and conversion of important volumes of documents can be achieved more quickly. IRISPdf Server 6.0 can process more than 20,000 documents a day but with the new multi-CPU add-on, you can process up to 35,000 documents a day on a dual core CPU and up to 60,000 documents on a quadri-core CPU!

IRISPdf™ Server 6.0 can simultaneously generate fully searchable PDF and signed PDF files, DOC, RTF, TXT, HTML, WordML & XML files from one source document or image.
With IRISPdf™ Server 6.0, the number of output formats has been extended and it is now also possible to generate:
• PDF/A files: Stricter than a regular PDF, this is the ideal PDF format for long-term archiving
• PDF Security Method: apply restrictions to protect your PDF or PDF-iHQC documents or to give specific rights (print, modify, etc.) to different users
• OpenDocument Text (.odt) files: OpenDocument Text is a fully-documented open format based on XML. It can be read into OpenOffice and StarOffice.

- Decentralized OCR Conversion!
Each scanning station has an IRISPdf Batch Output Format so you can keep scanning on your workstation while the OCR process is done at the same time on a Server!

- Completely automated process!
With the “Watched Folder” and “Batch OCR” modes, large batches of documents can be automatically converted with very few user interventions. In Watched Folder mode, all you need to do is send your images to this Watched Folder and IRISPdf will automatically process them. In Batch OCR mode, you only need after setting up the application to tell the software when to start.

- Partial recognition of document
When you generate fully searchable PDF (PDF format image+text), if you are only interested by the full-text index of the first pages, you can now recognize only the first pages containing important information and keep the others as images. This will speed up the process and reduce the amount of data stored

- Configurable document naming
Numerous naming options are available in IRISPdf: your files can be named automatically with a prefix, or after the name of the first image or the folder, or according to a barcode containing all the information you need

- Complete XML index creation including indexes of KODAK Capture Software
The XML output can contain detailed information about the recognized text and barcode as well as the location of each character.

- Support of Dual Stream images
IRISPdf is able to handle dualstream images i.e. a batch of images scanned in color as well as in black&white

The separation between the scanning and the OCR process allows you to scan AND OCR at the same time. Thanks to error handling mechanisms it is possible to do the OCR 24 hours a day without monitoring

- Archiving files with indexes!
With IRISPdf, generate the full-text index of all scanned document: the PDF Image+Text is ideal for archiving and the text layer will be used to find back the document. KODAK Capture Software will also generate at batch or document level structured indexes containing all the information you want.
