I.R.I.S. Expands Its European Institutions Activities
|
Louvain-la-Neuve, February 9, 2012
– I.R.I.S. Group S.A., a company listed on EURONEXT Brussels
and specialized in Intelligent Document Recognition, in electronic
Document, Content and Process Management and in optimized IT
infrastructure announced today an extension of its activities with the
European Commission.
This new I.R.I.S. business development will allow the Belgian company
to extend its role in 2012 with about twenty new resources.
Pierre De Muelenaere, President and CEO:
“I.R.I.S. was already very active among International
Institutions in Belgium, Luxembourg and other countries like The
Netherlands, Spain, Germany or The United Kingdom, providing them with
technical staff and turnkey applications in the fields of ECM (with
Documentum®, SharePoint®, Livelink, etc.), document
capture and ICT (IT Infrastructures). This business extension is
perfectly in line with our strategic positioning, and a perfect
opportunity to bring to light one of the fundamental segments I.R.I.S.
specializes in.“
Brigitte Niset and Daniel Boujo
(General Managers at I.R.I.S. International Organizations):
“I.R.I.S. is very active with the European Organization. For
one of our major contract, we are in consortium with Unisys Belgium,
Intrasoft, Sogeti and Reggiani. Together we play a key role in
providing the European Commission with a broad range of Information
Technology (IT) services.
In 2011 this Consortium won a large IT contract with the European
Commission, the largest framework agreement for provision of staff
issued by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Informatics
(DIGIT). It covers a wide range of IT services in the fields of
document management, web content management, geographical data
management, information and data analysis tools, information security
and quality, and user assistance.
Denis Hermesse, CFO:
“This business development strengthens a very important
business line at I.R.I.S. and it will contribute positively to
I.R.I.S.’ EBIT in 2012”
